I seem to have been restricted from commenting on this blog but what I would like to ask Matthew, its main proponent, is does he completely disagree with recent scientific evidence that bTb is not rarely caused by direct contact between badgers and cows? Also, the trials that have proven that it is no good to cull badgers to prevent bTb in cows, that it is more cost effective to deal with the cows.

I suppose if you kill every single badger in the area consistently you might help to keep your cows free of bTb but do you think it is ok to kill every single badger in the area rather than concentrate on your cows?

As I understand it it is not only unhealthy badgers that are killed in Devon, it is healthy badgers too, to the point that whole setts are wiped out and probably whole generations too, healthy badgers are being snared and left to die in snares.

This does not give farmers a good reputation it simply speeds up their demise.
